How we handle listings.

Our goal is useful local information, not maximum page count. A listing without a credible source should not be presented as verified.

Sources

We prioritize official city, government, museum, library, organizer and other first-party sources. We may also review user submissions, but submissions are not automatically published.

Verification

Active time-sensitive listings include a verification date. Before publishing or refreshing a listing, we check that the source describes it as free and that the date/location information is still relevant.

Updates and expiry

Listings can change. When an event has passed, it may be marked expired or removed from active discovery. Recurring listings are rechecked rather than assumed to continue forever.

Accuracy and corrections

If you spot an outdated, inaccurate or misleading listing, email contact@giveloa.com with the listing URL and correction.

Paid placement

Giveloa does not treat paid placement as editorial verification. If sponsored placements are introduced later, they will be clearly labeled.
